When more than 1.2 billion discarded mobile phone cases are generated every year around the world, environmental protection has become an unavoidable proposition in the mobile phone accessories industry. The deep integration of innovative design and sustainable development is reshaping the industry's value chain. Material innovation is the foundation of green transformation. Degradable biobased materials are made by fermentation of plant starch and can be completely degraded within 6 months in natural environments. They are currently used in 20% of entry-level mobile phone case products. However, this type of material has the problem of insufficient hardness. The composite degradable materials developed by Almi Technology increase the impact strength by 30% by adding nanocellulose while maintaining 100% degradable properties.

The design concept of extending the product life cycle is more breakthrough. The average usage cycle of traditional phone cases is only 45 days, while the Almi DIY ink screen phone case has been extended to more than 18 months through "function iteration". Its modular design allows for the replacement of worn bezel components and the screen part can be upgraded separately, this "partial update" mode reduces material waste by 70%. Green transformation of the production link is also crucial. Almi's source factory is powered by solar power, with a wastewater treatment recovery rate of 95%. By optimizing the injection molding process, the material utilization rate has been increased from 68% to 92%. These measures have lowered its product's carbon footprint by 41% from the industry average and obtained the EU ECOCERT environmental certification. Consumer surveys show that 67% of users are willing to pay a 10%-20% premium for environmentally friendly mobile phone cases. This data is driving more companies to incorporate sustainable development into innovation strategies and form a positive cycle of "environmental protection-innovation-value-added".
